Paul Mandella of Maybe Tonight Charters ran into an extraordinary sight this past Monday on the Outer Beach between Smith Point and Moriches Inlet.
A massive school of bunker covered the entire beach with marauding Blue Fish chasing many right out of the water onto the sand.
We are getting reports of one of the largest bunker runs in memory which has benefited the fishing community and attracted a number of Whales close to shore as can be seen here and here.
