Many of us watched the marina and docks take a beating live on the Davis Park Casino Webcam on Monday morning as whitecaps and a storm surge of about 4 feet battered the basin. I went back and put together a video of some of the action above.
The video starts with a short clip from Friday morning to give a sense of the normal water level and then I added clips from Sunday night and several more from Monday morning where the marina is clearly underwater. If you look closely you can see the dock breaking apart in several sections.
Tuesday’s much improved weather allowed Wayne Lunati, The Davis Park Marina Dockmaster to head over and assess the damage. According to the Davis Park Association Page on Facebook, this weekend’s Davis Park Ferry Service is at risk as repairs will have to be made before the Ferry can safely operate again.
