The second of two full moons this month passed through the Earth’s shadow between 6:00 and 7:00 a.m. this morning.

This is the first time in 35 years that a Blue Moon has synched up with a total lunar eclipse.  In our area we didn’t get the full eclipse but as you can see in the images below the upper left side of the moon was clearly showing the Earth’s shadow.
