I watched the line of snow squalls move into the area from my office and hit Smith Point on the way home hoping for some wind and blowing snow.  I didn’t see the white out conditions that hit areas to our west but had some wind gusts around 40 mph and a grapel like frozen precipitation blowing in sideways from the west and then the north.  The leading edge had some nice structure, looking more like a thunderstorm than a snow squall.  Photos taken at the Fire Island National Seashore Wilderness center, which allowed me to capture some video while hiding from the wind.
