Tides were running much higher than normal this weekend with many low lying areas on the south shore dealing with some coastal flooding.  I took advantage of a rare break in the clouds on Saturday and checked out Old Inlet for the first time since late February.   The high water and surf from a departing storm made for a beautiful scene.  Although the tide chart indicates it was just a few hours before low tide, the entire sand delta inside the bay was underwater, a completely different look than during a normal low tide.  For a comparison click here.
