I checked out Old Inlet early on Thursday, September 23rd as the surf from Hurricane Teddy started to subside. While the tide and surf weren’t as high as forecast, there was clearly some erosion and overwash into the dunes. Old Inlet also saw some changes with the spit on the east side eroding and pushing back into the former channel. The tide was still pretty high with low visibility. I want to check back soon at low tide to get a better look.
