Next we ran into multiple pods of Short-Beaked Common Dolphin.  They love to ride the bow wave or play in the wake.  A couple of times it looked like they waited for us to pass to start following.

On the run back between Shinnecock and Moriches there was no shortage of bunker, but no bass or feeding whales.

Finally, after 9 hours and 100 miles of searching, we found a Humpback whale right back where we started outside Moriches Inlet.  It was not in the mood for photos, just taking very short breaths before deep, long-distance swims.
