Another great effort this week from the Long Island Wildlife Photography group with a wide variety of species and some incredible action shots!

One of the images that caught my eye this week was submitted by Kathleen Nevins Silver of what turned out to be a Piebald Deer posted just below.  Piebalds have various patches of white and brown very similar to a pony.  While not as rare as albino, this is an uncommon  genetic variation that effects less than 1% of the White Tailed Deer population.   Nice find!
