With our first real cold snap of the winter and a big snowstorm on the way, it is a great time to get some birdseed out before and after the snow.   The ground is frozen solid and it is not expected to get much above freezing all next week.  A well-stocked feeder can also bring some great photo opportunities in the snow as well.

This week the Long Island Wildlife Photography did another stellar job, and as usual Jim Botta helped picked out just some of the best shots below.  Some notable finds include a Pink-Footed Goose, Razorbill, Wilson’s Snipe, Red-Shouldered Hawk and Common Redpoll.
