I doubt I just speak for myself when I say that March is my least favorite month on Long Island.  Everybody is more than ready to get into spring and summer mode but March has more than it’s fair share of raw and dismal weather.

This week was no exception as we had another long stretch of gray drab skies and today looks no different.

Despite the weather, you can always count on the Long Island Sun Chasers to be up early and find great photo opportunities.  In fact some of the best shots this week were taken at Dawn last Saturday and Sunday as the Sun lit up underneath the thick cloud deck.

The images this week span from Long Beach and Kings Point to the west all the way out to Montauk Point to the east.

This week’s cover goes to Douglas Kelley who caught an amazing light show Saturday Morning at Smith Point Beach.

As always if you are interested in any of the images below (or on the site) email me at mike@greatsouthbayimages.com and I will put you in contact with the photographer.
