A friend got some reports about some inshore tuna and whales off Montauk and invited me to see if we could find them on Saturday.
I brought my drone in case conditions were good enough to launch from the boat but a tight 3-5 foot chop kept it safe in the cabin.
Unfortunately the tuna were not around but we had fun with some gorilla blue fish and played catch and release with a bunch of fluke and sea bass on the way back in.
I had the camera out for the moon setting at sunrise, a few shots around the point and Montauk Harbor. Once we got offshore it was hard to stand much less use the camera much.
