It’s a great time of year to catch Common Loons in full breeding plumage before they head north for the summer.

Common Loons are fascinating birds that we covered in recent Bird of the Week feature.   To learn more about these birds and see some fantastic images click here.

I  hit one of my favorite spots recently and captured two slow motion videos with images of one eating a live crab and a clam.
