After what seemed like days of overcast and fog, Thursday brought some amazing skies and nice surf at Sunrise. When I woke up, things looked bleak at my house but as soon as I checked out the new and improved Surf Cam perched on top of the Davis Park Casino on my phone, I knew I had to get to the beach. Below is some video from the cam between 6:40 and 6:50 a.m.
The top video and images below were all taken at Smith Point Beach in front of the Fire Island National Seashore visitor center on 9-27-18.
