It was difficult to tell with overcast skies and dark water but the Moriches Inlet Dredging Project appears to me making some big progress. As you can see in the before and after photos below, sand that built up around East Jetty has been removed.

It appears the bar outside the inlet has been worked on as well but I will have to check on a nicer day when the water is clear. I would assume the operation may be delayed as the crew prepares their equipment for a potential Nor’easter this weekend.
