Last week I took a ride over to Davis Park to see how things fared over the Winter.

I posted a gallery of images and video of the storm and ice damage to the marina, If you missed that click here.

I also took a drone flight over the beach to check out the oceanfront.  As is typical for winter, the beach has been cut back and some of the stairs that lead down to the beach have been taken out.

Also note that a bunch of old dune fortification material is exposed up and down the beach.   My understanding is that 5 of the homes closest to the water will be demolished to make way for the Fire Island to Moriches Dune Restoration Project.
