Tropical storm Hermine made sure Labor Day 2016 wasn’t the beach day Long Islanders typically enjoy.
The unofficial end of summer brought stiff winds, rough seas, and an ordered voluntary evacuation of Fire Island (later lifted).
We made a trip over to Ho-Hum Beach to get a closer look.
