Last Saturday morning I took my boat to check out Old Inlet.  The tide was ripping out so I stayed away from the ocean side to avoid getting swept up on the bar.  While the channel has definitely narrowed, I still found a couple spots nearly 20 feet deep.  I anchored just a little north of the cut to walk around with my waterproof GoPro camera to see what I could find.  Most of the flats are just acres and acres of clean sand but there were several large areas covered with small blue mussels and sea lettuce.  Just below the surface, I found tons of hermit crabs, grass shrimp, killies and horseshoe crabs as you will see in the video above and images below.
