On Saturday afternoon I took a boat ride over to Ho-Hum Beach to see how the Bellport Pavilion handled the waves churned up by Hurricane Dorian that passed Long Island the night before.  If you aren’t familiar with the Bellport Pavilion, this structure has been condemned after severe erosion in the area left it basically in the ocean at times of high tide.  Click here to see how this situation has evolved over the last few years.

Despite some nice surf, there didn’t seem to be much new erosion from Dorian and the building still seems to sound.  The guys that built this should be proud.
