Take a second to enjoy the sun rising over the surf this morning at Smith Point Beach on Fire Island; it’s the calm before Hermine, which just hit Florida.
According to the National Weather Service, Long Island is looking at possible tropical storm conditions Sunday into Tuesday of this Labor Day weekend.
Either way, we’re in for some weather.
