As soon as we arrived on the numbers we had birds working and fish breaking water and got our spread out quickly to begin trolling close to the commotion.

We immediately had a mystery knock down but no hook up.  We reset and at 7:00 a.m. we were hooked up, FISH ON!

It didn’t take long to get the fish in range of Captain Adrian’s perfect gaff shot and we had a 25lb Blue Fin Tuna in the boat.

 

 

After a little celebration we put the spread back out and thought this is gonna be a banner day!!!

We saw a few other boats land some BIG Blue Fin Tuna, one around 150 lbs and several between 20 and 50 lbs.  We heard of a few yellow fins around 70 lbs over the radio.

We kept plugging away but by 8:30 a.m. it was over as things got quiet for us and over the radio.
We kept searching but just ran into some big draggers.
