We have no way to quantify it but this year’s run of Bunker (Menhaden) is one for the books.
Huge pods of bunker (menhaden) are still in the bays and up and down the beaches creating a feeding frenzy for Bluefish, Striped Bass, and Humpback Whales.

Paul Peluso checked in after great early morning and evening action around the back bays of Moriches on Monday.
Jason Brunder, Junior Sanchez and Paul had a blast with Striped Bass to 2o pounds using SP Minnows and and top water plugs.

The back bays weren’t the only hot spots, this beast was pulled out of the surf by Avi Mandel in the Moriches area.
