The fish have invaded the Great South Bay and beyond with Stripers and Blues reported all over the south shore.

Top water action has been HOT!

Striped Bass have been landed to keeper size but most of the fish have been in the 18″ to 27″ range.

As a reminder one Striped Bass may be taken above 28 inches.  Here are the latest Saltwater Fishing Regulations to keep track of all the season and size limits.

If you are looking for the bigger fish, you need to head west.  My friend Peter Park and I got into some beefier Striped Bass in the Western Sound on live Bunker last week.

I caught the 34″ fish below today and and found some mantis shrimp in the belly.
