Fall is near and we’re introducing Captain Paul (Pablo) Peluso and his fishing report that will appear regularly on greaterfireisland.com.

“Fishing with Pablo” will cover the waters off eastern Fire Island.


September marks the beginning of the fall migration. Closer to Montauk, the juvenile anchovies showed up and like clockwork, and so did the false albacore — or fat Alberts, as many locals call them.
They don’t hang around long so go get them! Here are some pics.
