The Long Island Sun Chasers came back with another extraordinary collection of images from all over the Island once again last week.  The highlight was Wednesday evening as the remnants of Hurricane Florence pushed offshore.  The timing was perfect for many as the last edge of the system was still full of rain as it cleared most of Nassau and Western Suffolk right around sunset.  The result was a spectacular rainbow and some wild clouds full of rain but illuminated by the Sun.  The rest of central and eastern Suffolk missed out as the storms cleared out well after sunset.

Most of these photographers print their work so if a particular image gets your attention, I can put you in touch with the photographer.

Trish Minogue Collins gets this week’s cover shot with amazing double rainbow over Jones Beach.  Check out all 5 pages below and enjoy the work week!
