Long Island continues to enjoy an excellent stretch of weather and the Long Island Sun Chasers have been out doing a great job of capturing it.

The highlight this week seemed to be Monday evening with some dramatic clouds that rolled in just before Sunset.

The one thing missing this year is brilliant fall foliage.  Normally we would be featuring some of our favorite spots with bright yellow, gold and brown leaves- this year everything is still a bland green.  You can blame the weather as the trigger for good fall color is cold and damp weather that has been in short supply.  Maybe it is not too late but reports coming in from upstate and New England indicate this season will be a bit of a bust.

This week’s cover goes to Douglas Kelley with a great shot of the Fire Island Lighthouse.
