First of all, I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.  One of the many things I am thankful for is the Long Island Wildlife Photography group.

Every week they capture  an incredible variety of local and migratory wildlife in stunning detail.  If a rare bird stops by on their way south or somehow gets blown of course, it is a lock that more than a few members will find it and share it with the rest of us.

I am also thankful for  the many friends I have made through the group and hope to see some of them tomorrow as we search for Whales off New York City with Gotham Whale.  If you are interested in seeing some Humpback Whales for yourself we have arranged a group rate, click here for the details!  The boat will be running all weekend if you can’t make tomorrow.

The cover this week goes to Jimmy Johnny with a spectacular shot of one the Hudsonian Godwits that stopped by Long Island on the way from the Arctic to South America.

If you have time check out all 5 pages and enjoy your holiday!
