As summer winds down many members of the Long Island Wildlife Photography group are looking forward to cooler weather and the Fall migration just around the corner.
In the meantime, they are still out capturing superb images up and down the Island.
Some notable finds this week include a Whimbrel, Rose Breasted Grosbeak, and a Chestnut Sided Warbler.
The cover photo goes to Tom Reichert with a great image of a Whimbrel, fairly uncommon bird on Long Island that breeds in the Arctic and migrates to South America.
