This week we handed the keys to Jim Botta, one of the Long Island Wildlife Photography Group administrators that does a great job helping out with the page.  Jim is also an excellent wildlife photographer as well.

For those of you who don’t know me yet (either from meeting me out in the field, or from right here on Long Island Wildlife Photography), I do my best to be available for any questions or comments you might have about this Group. I try to do my best to “Like” and/or Comment on as many photos as I can. Too often I think, people enjoy looking through the photographs here and just keep scrolling. I have always been interested in photography, but with my work schedule, I never really had the time to do much of it. I retired 2 years ago, so I finally have the time to go out and practice!
We have an amazing group of people here who consistently post the best images, week after week. Trying to go through those photos and select 40 or 50 to be included in “Best Of” each week is not easy task! Believe me, I got a real taste of what Mike Busch goes through putting this together!

Anyway, it doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or a professional, or anything in-between … the best advice I can give you is: Get out and shoot, and keep shooting, and post your images! And as you are looking through the other photos that are posted, see what photos you like, and try to figure out why you like them. You’ll become a better photographer as you start analyzing more.
