Despite two Nor’easters keeping the cameras away for a few days, members of the Long Island Wildlife Photography group posted an amazing quantity and variety of local wildlife images this week.

Notable finds included a Northern Goshawk, Sharp-Shinned Hawk, Red-Necked Grebe and some of the first Killdeer of the season.

Keep your eyes peeled and your ears open for the arrival of the Osprey any day now, for many of us that is first real sign of Spring.

This week’s cover shot goes to Vicki Jauron so always seems to combine a sharp shot with an attractive composition, this time with a Kestrel in flight.
