I tried to take a week off due to coverage of tropical storm Melissa but since Jim Botta doesn’t miss a thing, we put together a huge collection of two weeks worth of photos from the Long Island Wildlife Photography group spanning 14 pages below.  I always take a spin through the page to find a few more at the last minute and honestly could have stretched this to 20 pages.

A few notable rare or uncommon finds this week include a Western Kingbird, White Pelican, Marbled Godwit, Tri-Colored Heron, and Little Blue Heron.

This week’s cover goes to Brian Doherty.  Also, don’t miss some more great videos from Natalie Ann on Page 14!

Enjoy the weekend and feel free to share with a friend that has no idea of the great wildlife popping up all over our island.
